| Description | This waterfall, with an overall height of 373 meters, is located in Yoho National Park, Britisch Columbia, Canada. The name "Takkakaw" means "wonderful" in the language of the Cree Indians. The water origintes from the Daly Glacier (Waputik Icefield). The mist from the waterfall made it rather difficult to take this photo (a panorama of two wide-angle shots), because whenever I pointed the camera at the waterfall, the lens was covered with tiny drops of water almost immediately. The picture was taken in the late afternoon when the sun came out for a short time and created this beautiful rainbow. |
