Description
English: The Taigong Dayuan Gushi Monument was discovered in 1982 at Da'erjia Village (达尔架村) in Tumed Left Banner, on the western edge of Hohhot. There are two separate inscriptions in Mongolian and Chinese on the front and the back. This photograph shows the back, wth two large Chinese characters 碑隂 ("back of the stele") at the top, and a Mongolian inscription on the left, and a Chinese inscription on the right. It is thought to date to the Wanli era (1573–1620) of the Ming dynasty. On display in the lobby of the Institute of Mongolian Studies (building opposite the Ethnic Museum) at the Inner Mongolia University, Hohhot.
