Zahriaty plášť jadra Mo/W emituje elektróny a súčasne je kladne nabitý. Zberač elektrónov Mo/Nb absorbuje elektróny a súčasne je záporne nabitý. Emitor aj kolektor sú od seba izolačne oddelené vysokoteplotne odolnou izolačnou podložkou Sc2O3, kotré je kotvená v Nb prstenci. Medzera je vyplnená parami Cs. Od plášťa z nerezovej ocele je kolektor oddelený izolačnou podložkou Al2O3. Táto medzera je vyplnená plynným Héliom. Nerezový dvojitý plášť je chladený sodíkom. |
