English: The Blockhouse is located at Central Park in NYC and is a historic site from the Civil War built in 1812 as protection from the British Army. The fort never used it as defense, however, the city occasionally uses the site to perform public affairs. The Blockhouse is setting on schist that is common rocks in Central Park. Been the only or one of the few forts who survived the Civil War in 1812.
Español: La Casa Cuadrada (o fuerte) esta localizada dentro del Parque Central en NYC y es un sitio historico de la Guerra Civil construido en 1812 como protecion en contra de la Armada Britanica. El fuerte nunca se uso como defensa, pero, la cuidad ocasionalmente la usa para celebrar actos publicos. La Casa Cuadrada esta construida sobre un esquisto el cual es una roca muy comun en el Parque Central. Siendo el unico o uno the los unicos fuertes que sobrevivieron la Guerra Civil en 1812. |
