Opis vrste

D.t. 15,5-17 cm. Gnezdeći areal obuhvata istočnu i delove centralne, južne i severne Evrope, kao i veliki deo centralne Azije i šireg područja Kavkaza. Selica je. Zimu provodi u istočnim delovima podsaharske Afrike. Naseljava staništa sa gustim žbunjem (glog, trnjina i dr) na livadama, zaraslim voćnjacima, šumskim čistinama, stepskim fragmentima i sl. Gnezda gradi u niskom žbunju. Hrani se pretežno insektima, paucima i drugim manjim beskičmenjacima i bobicama biljaka u periodu jesenje seobe. Predstavlja redovnu gnezdaricu Srbije, čija se populacija procenjuje na 3500 - 4500 gnezdećih parova (Puzović et al 2009).
