[edit]DescriptionSydney ferry KULGOA leaving Cremorne Point Wharf.jpg |
English: Sydney ferry KULGOA leaving Cremorne Point Wharf. Mosman Bay in background with ferries KIANDRA and KANANGRA at Musgrave Street Wharf. KULGOA is identified by the flying bridge on the trailing wheelhouse. Kiandra is identified as one of Kirrule type ferry (wooden hull) - her life belt arrangement distinguishes her from identical KUBU and KIRRULE. KANANGRA is identified by her steel hull - it is possible but unlikely that it is her sister KIRAWA, however KANANGRA's wheelhouse roof was less angled. Photo is likely early 30s - the original all-black funnels were painted cream with black top (as shown here) around the time of the Bridge opening (1932) |
