Notes This sword belonged to Abraham Carbury who was a Colour-Sergeant with the 98th Foot Regiment and was present at the surrender of the Sikhs in the Punjab in 1848-1849. It was brought to New Zealand circa 1915 by his grandson, Herbert Carbury (donor).
