Description
English: Sweta Bhairava Temple, Srikhandpur. The temple of the famous Swet Bhairav located in Khadpu or Srikhandpur, Dhulikhel Municipality Ward No. 5 of Kavrepalanchok District. At a distance of 2 km from Banepa Bazar to Panauti, on the left side of the road i.e. across the river, there is a famous and ancient white Bhairava temple. This place is now called Khadpu while the old name of this place is Shrikhandpur. This white Bhairava temple with three roofs is very artistic and attractive. 2 The roof and the gajur are decorated with gold lamps. Right and left lions guard the main entrance of the temple. In the lower part of the temple there is a symbolic place of Sweta Bhairava. Lingo Thadyai Jatra festival is celebrated in this temple in the month of Chait and special pooja is also held in the month of Asar. There is a temple of Swet Bhairav on the right side of the road, and the oldest inscription of this temple is also on the left side of the road.
