To get the classic shot of this arch, arrive late in the afternoon and set up north of the arch with the sun over your right shoulder and Navajo Mountain in the distance framed by the arch. As the sun sets, the arch, mountain, and hopefully interesting sky light up with golden hour light. As you can see, it just wasn't happening for me. Thunderstorms were passing through to the north and south and the sun was not to be seen. But there was still time for things to change ... |
