Description
English: In July 1904, a Sun Dance was being held in at "the Hump" (a mountain in Montana located between Butte and Anaconda) by representatives of the Snake, the Flathead, the Cree, the Blackfeet, and the Chippewa.
  • Upper left: "Rocky Boy" of the Chippewa, a chief
  • Lower left: "Hill Hunter", a medicine man.
  • Upper right: "Moon" of the Snake, a chief
  • Lower right: "Running Horse" of the Flathead, a champion Sun Dancer, and the organizer of the event.
