Col Joseph Lee of Moreno Valley, Calif., conduct a tour of a U.S. Marine MV-22B Osprey tiltrotor aircraft with Prince Haji Al-muhtadee Billah and Sultan of Brunei Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah 3 Dec. at Royal Brunei Air Force Base, Rimba, Brunei, during the 4th biennial Brunei Darussalam International Defence Exhibition. The five-day event includes displays and demonstrations of military equipment, with the theme of bridging the capability gap. BRIDEX 13 is an opportunity for communication and cooperation with regional partners and allies, builds strong multilateral relationships and enhances preparedness for disasters and other contingency operations. U.S. participation in BRIDEX 13 demonstrates cooperative engagement with Brunei and continued commitment to regional security and stability in the Asia-Pacific region. Shearman is the aviation maintenance officer with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 262, Marine Aircraft Group 36, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force, and Lee is the executive officer of VMM-262. |
