| Description |
English: Suit of mail, exhibited at Deutsches Historisches Museum in Berlin, there are several inaccuracies in this display, first on the arms there is a pair of kolcak (greaves or shin armor), these should be worn on the shins instead of on the arms, there should be a pair of bazu band (arm guards) on the arms instead. The second inaccuracy is a mail and plate defense hanging from the bottom edge of the helmet, this should be a riveted mail aventail / camail, in the current display someone has mistakenly attached mail and plate armour meant for another part of the body to the lower edge of the helmet, you can see a large vertical unprotected area in the back of the helmet, this would not happen with the proper configuration. |
