Ships head north through the Suez Canal, passing by Izbat Abu Sitayt between Lake Timsah to the north, and Great Bitter Lake to the south. The Isamilia Canal, or Sweet Water Canal, runs parallel to the Suez Canal and supplies water to the surrounding regions. |
