Description Leading architect Richard Rogers was welcomed to the National Assembly Assembly for Wales's new Debating Chamber building by Finance Minister, Sue Essex and the Presiding Officer Lord Dafydd Elis-Thomas today [9 December] to see how his design for the building has been turned into reality. Lord Rogers met with Ms Essex and Lord Elis-Thomas in Cardiff Bay as work on this flagship project for Wales draws to a conclusion. The building is due to open its doors to Assembly Members and the general public in January and will be the venue for Plenary sessions, Committee meetings and a host of other activities that are all open to the public.
