English: Soldiers joined student athletes and musicians, and their families for a Texas-style barbecue dinner at the Alamodome in San Antonio Jan. 3, 2013. The dinner was just one of many activities throughout the city to commemorate the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, scheduled to be held Jan. 5. The American flag and balloon helmets, representing both teams participating in the game, were on display during the dinner. The Army has hosted the All-American Bowl in San Antonio since 2002, highlighting the 90 best high school football players and 125 best high school marching band musicians from across the nation.
