Description

Streetcar on Kingston Road, near Birchmount Road. The TTC double tracked the line to Birchmount Road in the 1920s. The remaining portion of the old single-tracked interurban ceased operation in 1936. So this image almost certain dates back to between 1921, when the TTC began operations, and 1928 when it completed double-tracking.

Note: this image is marked "all rights reserved" at flickr -- even though it is too old to be protected by copyright. That "all rights reserved" notice should ignored.
