Description

Spring 1977

I don't think the Russians (or Soviets, if you prefer) used any kind of street treatment in these years, at least not in Leningrad. The city was flat enough that driving around in this sort of "kasha" (oatmeal) texture snow was not a problem once you got used to it - and there were not all that many private cars, so it was easy enough to give yourself room to stop in most situations.
