Summary
[edit]DescriptionStool from the former Palais des Tuileries in Paris (stamped with inventory mark).jpg |
English: Jacob Frères Rue Meslée, Paris (François-Honoré-Georges Jacob-Desmalter and his brother Georges Jacob Fils): Stool, early 19th century (about 1810), gilded wood, marking stamp of the Palais des Tuileries on the underside. Provenance: Palais des Tuileries, Paris, France. A stool of the same model was sold on 23rd June 2005 at Christie's in Paris (Sale 5310/Lot 401) for EUR 18.000.-- (in need of restauration).
