Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Stonechat (on the Amber List) Stonechats, with their distinctive 'tchack' (like two stones striking together) are most commonly seen in the western parts of Britain, only visiting the eastern coasts during winter-time. The species is on the RSPB's Amber List (criteria: Historical population decline during 1800–1995, but recovering; population size has more than doubled over last 25 years) - I have seen stonechats in this same rough hedgerow for the last three years, but only during this early-summertime.
