English: Stockton Brook Waterworks, Staffordshire This Victorian waterworks began pumping in 1884 using two horizontal compound tandem "Davey" differential steam engines. The site (including six and a half acres of land has now been sold and awaits development.The new owners have plans to bring this archaeological gem back into public use through a mix of uses which include a restaurant, cafe, conference rooms or possibly a wedding venue. Well, not much seems to have happened (externally)in the last four years. |
