Description
  This media shows the protected monument with the number 116938 in Austria. (Commons, de, Wikidata)
English: The so-called sunflower epitaph is located in the parish church of Steyr. He recalls that between October 20 and 27, 1703, six children of the Vorrig family died of smallpox in a row. The iron art monument was restored between 1990 and 1995 in the workshops of the Austrian Federal Monuments Office (Bundesdenkmalamt, BDA).
Deutsch: In der Stadtpfarrkirche von Steyr befindet sich der sogenannte Sonnenblumenepitaph. Er erinnert daran, dass zwischen dem 20. und dem 27. Oktober 1703 hintereinander sechs Kinder der Familie Vorrig an Pocken verstarben. Das Kunstdenkmal aus Eisen wurde zwischen 1990 und 1995 in den Werkstätten des Österreichischen Bundesdenkmalamtes (BDA) restauriert.
