Description
English: Stele of Apa, an ancient egyptian priest who was responsible for the cult of the pyramids of Teti (6th dynasty) and Merikare (9th-10th dynasty). Merikare's cartouche is carved in the darkened section of the picture, thus is not visible. Found in a tomb in Saqqara, datable to the 11th-12th dynasty, Middle Kingdom. 1.90m x 1.04m.
