Deutsch: Kalkofen, Am Berge 50 in Recke-Steinbeck, Kreis Steinfurt, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Deutschland. Die Geschichte des Ofens reicht bis 1900 zurück. Zu dieser Zeit brannte Bernhard Heinrich Weßling genannt Lünnemann (1850-1902) Kalk in einem Ofen, der oberhalb des heutigen Kalkofens gestanden haben soll. 1933/1934 errichtete Heinrich Weßling genannt Lünnemann (1880-1972) den jetzigen Kalkofen, der später von seinen Sohn Aloys Weßling-Lünnemann (1907-1983) weiter betrieben wurde. Die wöchentliche Produktion lag bei etwa 600 Zentnern. 1963/1964 wurde die Kalkbrennerei aus wirtschaftlichen Gründen eingestellt. Das Gelände des Kalkofens liegt im hängigen Bereich, nach Norden hin abfallend. Die Kalkofengegenstützmauer wurde in den Hang gebaut. Drei Abzugsöffnungen liegen im unteren Bereich. Der Kalkofen selber wird durch eine Betonplatte abgeschlossen. Die aufgesetzte Tülle aus Kalksandstein ist zum Wegeplateau am Hang hin zur Beschickung des Ofens geöffnet. Östlich des Kalkofens liegen das in Kalksandstein errichtete Maschinengebäude zur Aufnahme eines Brecherwerkes, nachgeschaltete Hammermühle und Silo. Die gesamte Technik wurde elektrifiziert. Durch verschiedene Initiativen wurde das Gebäudeensemble 1993/1994 so überarbeitet, dass seine Erscheinung dem ursprünglichen Aussehen recht nahe kam. Eingestürzte Gebäudeteile wurden wieder aufgerichtet, defekte Türen, Fenster und Klappen teilweise repariert oder ersetzt. Das Dach wurde mit alten Dachziegeln, die von der alten Steinbecker Schule gerettet wurden, neu eingedeckt. Heute ist der Kalkofen Weßling mit dem zugehörigen Steinbruch und der in Teilen erhaltenen Technik der einzige verbliebene im Kreis Steinfurt. Seit 1993 steht das technische Denkmal daher komplett unter Denkmalschutz.
