Stein auf dem Kapuzinerbuck in Wittnau mit Inschrift: Der Name Kapuzinerbuck soll von den zahlreichen Grundstücken herrühren, die alle im spitzen Winkel wie zu einer Kapuze auf der Kuppe zusammenlaufen. Der Buck war, wie der Groß- und Hasebuck, einmal Teil des Schönbergkammes, der in der frühen Eiszeit vor vielleicht 500.000 Jahren auf den unterlagernden rutschigen Juratonen bis hierher abgerutscht ist. Später ist diese Rutschmasse durch Täler in die einzelnen Bucks aufgeteilt worden. Die Kuppen der Bucks sind nämlich heute noch annähernd gleich hoch. Agendagruppe "Leben im Dorf", 2006 |
