Summary
[edit]DescriptionSteeton & Silsden railway station, Yorkshire (geograph 5044256).jpg |
English: Steeton & Silsden railway station, Yorkshire Opened in 1847 on the far side of where the bridge now is, on the Midland Railway's line from Leeds to Skipton, the station was relocated to here in 1892. It closed in 1967. In 1990, the station was reopened with the Skipton-bound platform on the site of the 1892 station, the Leeds bound platform being back on the site of the 1847 station. View south east towards Keighley and Leeds. The 1892 station building would have been just in front of and underneath where the bridge now is. The 1847 building still survives (see SE0344 : Steeton & Silsden Railway station, Yorkshire) beyond the bridge. |
