Deutsch: Das Mädchen aus dem Steenkueler-Brunnen (s.a. Steenkueler-Brunnen21.jpg).
Neben diesem Brunnen ist eine Tafel mit folgender Beschriftung angebracht: Steenkühler-Brunnen (Steenkühler = Steinhauer = Steinbrucharbeiter). Über Jahrhunderte hinweg arbeitete in Lindlar die Mehrzahl der Männer in den Grauwacke-Steinbrüchen, der wichtigsten Industrie des Ortes. Die Arbeit war hart, der Lohn gering. Die Lebensverhältnisse waren ärmlich. Die Männer atmeten ständig Steinstaub ein. Viele starben früh, Frau und Kinder blieben oft unversorgt zurück. Eine Ziege und der Ertrag des Gartens sorgten für das Notwendigste zum Leben. Am Dorfbach wuschen die Frauen ihre Wäsche, hier konnten sie auch einmal ein Schwätzchen miteinander halten. Diesen Lindlarer Steinhauern und ihren Familien ist unsere Brunnenanlage gewidmet. Verkehrs- und Verschönerungsverein e.V.
