Description
Deutsch: Steckgut (Bern, Schweiz): nach der Gesamtsanierung des Hauses 2023.

Das Gebäude an der Lorrainestrasse 84 wurde erstmals im 17. Jahrhundert als Teil des sogenannten «Lorraineguts» erwähnt.

Ab 1882 diente das Steckgut der evangelischen Gemeinschaft als Vereinshaus und ging 1893 in deren Besitz über. Im Jahre 1949 erwarb die Einwohnergemeinde Bern das Steckgut. In den Jahren 1951/52 erfolgte der Umbau zum Schulhaus durch den späteren Stadtbaumeister Albert Gnägi. Seither wird es als Schulhaus genutzt.
