Description |
The steamship Reliance appears on the left and the tugboat Sea Lion of San Francisco appears on the right. They are docked at the Sunde & Erland Co., Ship Chandlers & Sail Makers which was located at Yesler Wharf according to early newspaper accounts. But if this is ca. 1907, this isn't Yesler Wharf, which was demolished in 1901. Sunde & Erland may have started on Yesler Wharf, but this is probably Colman Dock (which is definitely where successor Sunde & d'Evers was in 1917). Angle to the Postal Telegraph Building certainly fits that hypothesis.
