Summary
[edit]DescriptionSteam locomotive at Victoria Road (geograph 3465592).jpg |
English: Steam locomotive at Victoria Road As mentioned in C4315 : O'Neill & McHenry building, Victoria Road, the former County Donegal railway station briefly became a base for the North West of Ireland Railway Society and their collection of relics from the County Donegal Railway and the Londonderry & Lough Swilly Railway. With the Craigavon Bridge in the background, this view of a former CDR railcar and steam locomotive (I forget which loco) was taken during a NWIRS open-day. The society later moved to a purpose-built museum on the site of the former GNR(I) Foyle Road station, but this is now believed closed. |
