The 105-year-old statue,titled Emancipation, shows Lincolnstanding over the slave, whose severedchains have fallen around him. Located inBostons Park Square, it will have to bemoved sometime in the next two years forfinal improvements on a Park Squareurban renewal project. The statue wascreated by Thomas Ball in 1877.
