English: Statue of Sir Edward Elgar. Worcester's most famous son Sir Edward Elgar (1857-1934) was born just outside Worcester at Broadheath 77280. This statue stands at the end of the High Street, opposite the Cathedral. Near this spot Sir Edward Elgar's father had a music shop, though this premises is long gone and is now the site of a modern shopping centre. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edward_Elgar |
