Description
English: Petty Officer 2nd Class Jeremy Swearer, from Coast Guard Station Harbor beach, Mich., demonstrates correct donning of the cold water rescue sling from behind with Petty Officer 3rd Class Cristopher Dorchak near Harbor Beach, Jan. 19, 2015. To get qualified as an ice rescuer Coast Guardsmen participate in classroom training and participate in live scenarios before being tested by a qualified ice rescue team in what is known as a qualification board.
