Summary
[edit]DescriptionState Dining Room chandelier 1983.jpg |
English: Chandelier State Dining Room in the White House in Washington, D.C., in 1983. This silver-plated chandelier was designed by Charles Follen McKim and manufactured and installed in 1902 by Edward F. Caldwell & Co. The chandelier was of a unique design, as it contained no glass or crystal. Instead, it consisted of individual candelabra, each supported by curved piping (a gooseneck). Each gooseneck was attached to the central body, and the entire chandelier hung from the ceiling by a chain. |
