English: Reception for The Dungarees in Albert Square, Brisbane, 1915.
The March of the Dungarees was a recruiting march organised during 1915 in Queensland. The march began in Warwick, with 30 men who marched to Brisbane via Toowoomba, Laidley and Ipswich, picking up volunteers as they went through each town. They covered a distance of 160 miles and finished in Brisbane with 125 recruits. This crowd was part of the reception the men received when they reached Brisbane. |
