Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Warwick Town Hall, ca. 1892 The Warwick Municipal Council took over the new Town Hall on 6 September 1888. The design of the Hall was the work of Brisbane architect Willoughby Powell, and originally did not include a clock tower. The contractor was the local firm of Stewart, Law & Longwill, which employed as its principal sub-contractor, John McCulloch, Warwick's stonemason. John McCulloch was also responsible for many other prominent sandstone buildings in Warwick. Just before completion of the building, it was decided to add a clock tower. The clock was finally installed in 1892.
