Summary
[edit]DescriptionStarzel-Schlucht Junginger-Giess Braunjura Vorland-Schwaebische-Alb.jpg |
English: Gorge of the Starzel (Neckar), after entering the Lower Aalenian, a stratum of the Brown Jurassic, Swabian Alb. In the back: the waterfall “Junginger Gieß”. As result of a “listric fault” the upper part of the “Lower-Aalenian” is exposed and water flow of the Starzel eroded 6 meters. The small Starzel meanders meanwhile from the plateau of the Swabian Alb (for ca. 13 km) through the northern Alb Foreland way down to river Neckar. This happened basically by Headward Erosion. |
