Description California Department of Fish and Wildlife biologists present statistics on the annual spawning numbers of Chinook salmon to attendees at the second annual Stanislaus River Salmon Festival, hosted by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District's Stanislaus River Parks here Nov. 14. An estimated 3,000 people attended the free, family-friendly event, which was aimed at educating young people on the protection efforts for salmon and its habitat.
