View southward, towards Bristol, Bath (and Bournemouth) on the ex-Midland Bristol - Birmingham main line, paralleling here the ex-GW main line from Swindon. The express left Bournemouth West at 08.40, ran over the Somerset & Dorset to Bath and will proceed via Gloucester, Birmingham, Derby, Sheffield and Leeds, to reach Bradford eventually at 18.05. Stanier 'Jubilee' 4-6-0 No. 45576 'Bombay' will be working from Bath to Leeds. |
