Overprinted surcharged airmail stamp of Burundi (1st Republic under President Michel Micombero); 1971; commemorative overprinted surcharged airmail stamp of the issue to the "25 years of "; airmail stamps with overprint and surcharge; surcharge = 1 F (Franc); issue of 14 stamps (perforated + imperorate) + 3 blocks each à 3 stamps (perforated + imperforate); The depicted stamp is BDI Michel No. 809A from the block 55A.; The variant 809B (imperforate, red) from Block 55B is not listed in Michel-catalog from 2014 (nor at Yvert &Tellier, nor at Scott, only at Belgium-stamps).; Depicted is the stamp BDI Michel No. 809A (perforated, red). The stamp shows as motive a detail of the painting "Madonna with clove" or "Madonna mit der Nelke" by Leonardo da Vinci (1452-1519).; The depicted painting was created in 1478 in the style of the Renaissance (early Renaissance) and is contemporary located at the "Alte Pinakothek" in Munich (Germany); Unfortunately this stamp was postmarked with an unreadable CTO.
