Stamp of Australia; 1937; definitive stamp of the series "British King George V + birds + animals + etc. (I)"; stamp motive shows a portrait of the British Queen Elisabeth I (with crown, frontal portrait, with white area around head, "AUSTRALIA" in thin characters and outlined); stamp produced under supervision of the British "Royal Mail" (founded 1516) for "Commonwealth stamps"; Her full name was "Elisabeth Angela Marguerite Bows-Lyon"; She was also Empress of India and Duchess of York.; not confirmed: court photographer Bertram Park gave a photography from Elizabeth I from 1912 to the studio of Dorothy Wildings in 1937 in order to she can let produce this stamp, engraving by Edmund Dulac); wedding: 12th May 1937; coronation: 13th May 1937; stamp postmarked
