Summary
[edit]DescriptionStairs of the slaves Petit-Canal 2010-03-28.jpg |
English: Stairs of the Slaves (Les Marches des Esclaves) leading up to the church at Petit-Canal, Grande-Terre, Guadeloupe. As I understand the stair has been built by slaves. 44 steps, one dedicated to an individual tribe of people in Africa. Names of the tribes are visible at the side of the bridge. 10 more steps donated by the town. |
