St Mary's parish boundary stone #2

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: St Mary's parish boundary stone #2 It is just possible to make out the remnants of the word 'Warden' and the date '1710' on this face of the stone. No doubt it originally carried the name of the church warden or wardens of the time. The parish is the ancient one of St Mary on the Hill, Chester, although the current church is St Mary without the Walls, Handbridge, which was built in 1897. The narrow face to the right carries the initials 'SM' - see 1126125
