Description
English: St Mary's church. St Mary's church has a Saxon round tower. The church was largely rebuilt in the late 15th century and extensively renovated in Victorian times. The meeting room on the north side > 1355521 was added in the 1970s. Apart from a few old benches with poppy heads the furnishings are modern > 1355554. The octagonal font > 1355567 dates from the 15th century and the tiny priest door > 1355539 on the north side has a 13th century pointed doorway set into it. The church houses several 16th and 17th century memorials > 1355570 and an Elizabethan table tomb > 1027564. St Mary's is open every day.
