Summary
[edit]DescriptionSt Mary's Church, Sculcoates - geograph.org.uk - 627510.jpg |
English: St Mary's Church, Sculcoates Overgrown 19th century headstones in the old churchyard on the site of St. Mary's near the corner of Air Street and Bankside, Hull. St. Mary's Church appears on G W Bacon's 1906 map for Kelly's Directories Ltd but has since been demolished. The churchyard nowadays is a small leafy refuge in the industrial area of Sculcoates on the west bank of the River Hull. The headstone just visible in the foreground on the left of the picture is dedicated to William Stubbings who died on 19th April 1812 and also Thomas his son who died on 6th August in the same year. |
