English: St Mary's Church, Harley, Shropshire St Marys Church is first recorded in 1291, and was largely rebuilt in 1845-6 by local architect Samuel Pountney Smith. The tower was rebuilt in the early 16th Century, replacing a smaller tower of the 13th Century, and is the only part of the pre-Reformation church that remains. It is in the fashion of late perpendicular gothic. |
