Description
English: St Mary's Cathedral, Madurai was built by Catholic missionaries was also called Our Lady of Dolours. Fr Trincol sj started a school here in 1856 with 60 people. This church with two tall Bell Towers took the present form with contribution by Jesuit Fathers T.M. Mathai et al. in the year 1969.
