Summary
[edit]DescriptionSt Gobban's Church, Portbraddan (1) - geograph.org.uk - 819945.jpg |
English: St Gobban's Church, Portbraddan [1] The privately owned St Gobban's church in 818713. Only around 8 feet by 4 feet in size, it is thought to be the smallest church in Ireland. The church is owned by the Reverend John McConnell Auld (also known as Con Auld), who, among other endeavours, is a local author and former mayor of North Down. I know that he has carried out weddings within the church. When he is not is residence at Portbraddan the church remains open (weather permitting) and large amounts of money have been raised from visiting tourists and donated to various charities. |
