Summary

[edit]
Description
English: St Chad's Church, near to Shrewsbury, Shropshire, Great Britain.

This large church, whose full title is St Chads with St.Marys, is Shrewsbury's Civic church, where important ceremonies with both a civic and a spiritual nature are held. It was opened in 1792 on the derelict town wall to replace the old St Chads Church which had collapsed in 1788.

Charles Darwin was baptised in St Chads Church on November 15th 1809.
