Archbishop Dunstan, Bishop Ethelwold, King Edgar and his Queen were instrumental in establishing a Benedictine Monastery here in 970AD.

The window, in memory of Bishop Spencer Leeson depicts the triumph of Goodness, Order, Discipline and Education over the forces of evil, violence, ignorance and destruction.
