Description
English: St Andrew's Tower The site of St Andrew's Church founded in 1195. Originally this was a plain tower attached to a small church, but the church was destroyed by an English army in 1548. The tower was repaired and transformed into its present state in 1883. Good gravestones, some from the 17th century. (Source: Borders and Berwick, An Architectural Guide by Charles Alexander Strang).
